From the first screw to custom AI models
It all starts with building: detailed instructions and a modular design allow children to easily assemble their own robot and learn the basics of mechanics, electronics, and robotics. This phase is not just about putting pieces together – it lays the foundation for understanding how real systems work and fosters curiosity and confidence.
Once the robot is assembled, children begin block-based programming, which makes complex concepts intuitive and fun through visual logic. They are guided by tutorials and challenges on the Nous.MatataStudio platform – a free online hub with clear lessons, creative projects, and AI-driven tasks. Whether using the web interface or app, students can program their robot anytime, anywhere without complicated setup.
As skills develop, students naturally transition to Python programming, opening a more advanced level of creativity and control. It’s no longer just issuing commands – children design intelligent behaviors, train AI models, experiment with real scenarios, and create data-driven responses.

Advanced functions and programmable sensors

The Nous AI robot is controlled by the Nous Hub, which manages all functions and allows interaction with connected modules. Thanks to this “brain,” the robot can perform various AI-related tasks.
Additionally, Nous AI is equipped with a programmable touchscreen, a camera for machine vision, object recognition, and autonomous navigation, and a microphone that enables voice and sound recognition. The app also allows programming two servos, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor for obstacle detection and navigation assistance.
