Mini
- Designed for children over 8 years of age
- Durable polycarbonate body
- Speed up to 1 m/s
- 3 programming modes
- Gyroscope, accelerometer, motor encoders and programmable LEDS
- App with challenges and games to develop programming skills
Sphero Mini is a fun and smart robot the size of a ping pong ball that introduces programming to children from 8 years old through play.
Its durable polycarbonate body houses a small gyroscope, accelerometer, and programmable LED, and Mini can be controlled through the app in multiple ways, including facial expressions, making it easy for beginners to program.
Ideal for children from 8 years old

Sphero Mini is one of the smallest robots, but its compact size is easily compensated by its durability and the energy it contains. This makes it perfect for fast rides and performing tricks. The kit includes cones and pins, so once you install the app, the fun can begin.
Mini is controlled and programmed easily via Bluetooth using the app, where students can explore different control methods, from simple path drawing, to block programming, and even writing their own code in JavaScript or Python.
It’s an ideal robot not only for complete beginners exploring robotics for the first time but also for more advanced users who want to practice their skills or learn new programming concepts.
Control via face or programming languages
Sphero Mini is not just a fun robot, but also a full-fledged tool for learning programming that grows with the student's skills. Through the Sphero Edu app, it offers a structured system of programming levels, starting simply and gradually moving to more advanced concepts.
Each level introduces new challenges that develop logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
-
Programming beyond drawing
Sphero Mini is ideal even for complete beginners who are just getting acquainted with robotics. Children can control the robot simply by tilting their phone, using it as a joystick, drawing a path for Mini to follow, or even using facial expressions. -
Block programming
Another way to program Mini is through colored command blocks. Beginners can start with simple commands such as Roll, pause, lights, sound, or speech output.
At intermediate levels, loops, sensor operations, and adding notes to the code are introduced.
Advanced students learn to use variables, functions, conditions, and other logical structures in Advanced Block mode. -
Text programming in JavaScript and Python
More experienced students can easily transition from block programming to text-based programming in JavaScript or Python, learning syntax, asynchronous execution, and writing code in text form.

Gyroscope, accelerometer, and more
Despite its small size, Sphero Mini is packed with technology – it has a gyroscope, accelerometer, motors with encoders, and a durable polycarbonate body. This allows for precise maneuvers on desks, tables, and floors.
It also contains a LED light whose blink intensity, speed, and color can be customized.
Apps
