MX2-AS

The MX2-AS fits naturally into inquiry-based learning. Thanks to its portability and wireless connectivity, the microscope is ideal for less traditional learning settings – such as project days, outdoor lessons, or thematic weeks. Students can work in teams, collect their own samples, take images, present their findings, and compare results. These activities foster not only science literacy but also collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.

MX2-AS is intuitive enough for younger students to use on their own, yet powerful enough to engage older learners with more advanced tasks. Students can take measurements, make comparisons and track changes over time.

From Classroom to Nature: Zoom Into Learning

MX2-AS

The MX2-AS, digital microscope by MatataStudio, is an exceptional tool for young explorers, combining modern technology with intuitive operation.

Its clever 2-in-1 design allows for both handheld and desktop use, making it perfect for investigations in the classroom as well as outdoor exploration. Thanks to its lightweight and durable construction, it is ideal for children from preschool to Grade 5, while still offering enough functionality for older students or science enthusiasts.

One of the microscope’s stand-out features is large 4.3“ LCD  screen with 1080p resolution, which can be tilted up to 135°. There’s no  need for an external device – everything is directly on the screen. With smooth digital magnification ranging from 400× to an impressive 1600×, children can explore even the tiniest structures. The optical magnification ranges from 9× to 72×, making it suitable for both beginner and more advanced observation.

A practical addition is the intelligent color dyeing, which allows adjusting the coloration of the observed object in real time. This makes even subtle details stand out – without the need for artificial dyes or complex sample preparation.

The top and bottom LED backlighting allows for the observation of both transparent and opaque samples. Students can explore a wide variety of subjects, encouraging cross-curricular learning.

The microscope comes with 5 prepared slides for immediate use, but it also supports open-ended discovery – including photo and video recording.
